Know before you go Important Information

Discounted Hotel Rooms

Some of you have inquired about discounted rooms for the weekend of RetroMagic. We recently learned that Disney no longer offers discounted room blocks for groups “as small” as ours.

However, we are pleased to share that we have partnered with Nicole Eule at Cruise Planners and are able to offer a limited number of discounted rooms next door to the Yacht Club at the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel for a total price of $320 per night, which includes resort fees and hotel taxes.

RetroMagic’s weekend events are a short walk over the bridge between Yacht Club and the Dolphin at a price that’s less than half* the cost of a comparable room at the Yacht Club resort.

Please note these are “run of the house” rates meaning that a bed type is not guaranteed. If you wish to guarantee a room with either one king size bed or two queen sized beds, there is an additional cost of $20 per night. Additionally, self-parking is $32 per night. Valet parking is also available for $42 per night.

We hope that this discounted pricing makes a stay in a deluxe resort next to our event venue an obtainable option for RetroMagic attendees.

*At the time of this post, a Resort View room at the Yacht Club with either a King or two Queen beds is showing a price of $748 per night with tax.

Parking

Disney has informed us the Yacht and Beach Club parking lots will NOT be available to attendees due to construction and preparation for the large Gartner technology conference happening in the weeks after our event. If you are planning to stay on Disney property we strongly recommend you book a room in the Crescent Lake/Boardwalk area or along the Skyliner route (Pop Century, Art of Animation, Riviera Resort or Caribbean Beach) as both options will make it possible for you to walk to the event.

Other options include:

  • Park at Disney's Hollywood Studios and take a Friendship water taxi to the Yacht Club or utilize the Skyway to the EPCOT station.
  • Park at EPCOT and, for those with park admission, walk to International Gateway to the Yacht Club.
  • Take a Minnie Van, rideshare or taxicab from EPCOT’s parking lot or from your nearby resort or lodging directly to the Yacht Club.
  • Park at Disney Springs and take the bus to the Yacht Club.

Accessible parking will be available at Yacht Club utilizing complimentary valet parking for those with valid accessible parking placards or plates.
